A Royal Palace to Discover

At its 3rd edition, this initiative aims at enhancing the visit of the Palatine Gallery and the Royal Apartments, by helping visitors to better understand such an extraordinary complex where paintings, sculptures and furniture brilliantly show the history of the collections under the Medici, Habsburg-Lorraine and Savoy dynasties, from the 16th century to the 19th century.

Tours and focuses do not involve extra costs, since they are included in the ticket price of the museum.

On Tuesday and Thursday, from the 24th of January to the 9th of March, tours to the King’s Apartment, Grand Ducal Kitchen and Tapestry Apartments, as follows:

10:30am and 03:30pm: Tour to the King’s Apartment and Grand Ducal Kitchen

11:30 and 04:30pm: Tour to the Tapestry Apartments

The museum staff will accompany visitors and provide them with information sheets in Italian and English along the tours.

The meeting point is inside the Palatine Gallery, at the Information Desk located in the Castagnoli Room, where it is possible to make reservations at least 1 hour before the tour for groups of max. 12 persons.

It is not possible to reserve tours by phone or e-mail.

On Saturday, from the 28th of January to the 11th of March, in addition to some tours to the abovementioned areas marked by the symbol (*), the museum staff will give short explanations (focus) on several masterpieces in different rooms of the Palatine Gallery in Italian language.

Reservations are not required, since focuses will take place inside the museum.

Specific information and instructions on daily schedules will be available at the Information Desk located in the Castagnoli Room.

The meeting point will vary according to the rooms where artworks are on display, as per the following overall schedule :
